Does this work on scanned PDFs?

No — scanned PDFs are images of text, not selectable text. For scans you need OCR (coming in Phase 3). This tool extracts text that's already embedded in the PDF.

Will formatting be preserved?

We preserve paragraph breaks and basic spacing, but bold/italics/font choices are dropped. For richer output use PDF to Markdown (coming soon).

Can I extract from specific pages only?

Yes. Pick a page range like 1-3, 5 to limit extraction.
