Is signing a PDF in my browser legally binding?

An electronic signature created this way carries the same legal weight as a handwritten one in most jurisdictions (US, UK, EU, India), under laws like the ESIGN Act and eIDAS. For high-value transactions you may want a certificate-based digital signature — coming in a future release.

How do I draw my signature?

Pick the Draw tab, then sign with your mouse, trackpad, or touchscreen. The Type tab uses a cursive font with your name. The Upload tab lets you use a saved signature image (PNG with transparency works best).

Can I add multiple signatures or initials?

Yes. After placing one signature, click Add another to drop a second on a different page or position.

Is my signature uploaded anywhere?

Never. The signature is captured on a canvas in your browser, embedded into the PDF locally, and downloaded. We have no copy of either the PDF or your signature.

Will the signed PDF look professional?

Yes. We embed the signature as a high-resolution image with transparency, and you control size and position. The output looks identical in every PDF reader.

Can I sign a password-protected PDF?

Remove the password first using a tool like our upcoming Unlock PDF (Phase 3). LovedPDF never asks for your PDF password.
