How do I specify which pages to extract?

Use ranges like 1-3, 5, 7-9 in the page input. Comma-separate ranges and individual pages. The tool validates the input and shows a live preview of how many output files you will get.

Can I split into a fixed number of pages per file?

Yes. Switch to the Every N pages tab and pick a number. The tool produces equally sized chunks for the entire PDF.

What does extracting single pages do?

It produces one PDF per page in the input document, packaged into a ZIP file for easy download.

Does splitting reduce quality?

No. Each output file contains the exact pages from the source PDF, with original fidelity, fonts, and images preserved.

Will the original PDF be modified?

Never. Your source file is read-only. The tool produces new files as output — your input PDF stays exactly as it was.

Can I split a password-protected PDF?

You will need to remove the password first using our Unlock PDF tool (coming in Phase 3). LovedPDF does not store or transmit passwords.
