Privacy Policy

Privacy is the core of LovedPDF. This policy explains what we do and do not collect, across LovedPDF and its sister sites (LovedImage, LovedDocs, LovedSign, LovedVideo).

Your files

Most of our tools never upload your files. Processing happens in your browser, on your device; those documents do not reach our servers. You can verify this yourself: open your browser's DevTools, go to the Network tab, and watch. Nothing leaves. A named few tools do use a server, and we list every one on how your files are handled.

Server file tools

A set of file tools (PDF to and from Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, plus OCR, Unlock, Protect, Repair, and PDF/A) need software that cannot run in a browser, so they process on a server. That server is our own VPS, physically located in Mumbai, India. It is not in the EU. Your file is sent over HTTPS, processed, and deleted in the same request. The disk is not encrypted at rest; the file only exists on it for the few seconds it takes to process, and is then removed. A cron backstop clears anything left within an hour, in case a process crashes. Your file is never read by a human, never used for training, never shared, and never kept.

AI tools

Our AI tools (Chat with PDF and Summarize) extract the text from your PDF inside your browser; the file itself never leaves your device. Only text excerpts (up to 32 KB) and your question are sent over HTTPS to the API of Anthropic, a third-party AI provider, to generate the answer. The file itself is never sent. We do not store that text on our server. At Anthropic, API inputs and outputs are automatically deleted within 30 days under its commercial terms, and under its published policy they are not used to train its models by default.

Accounts

If you create an account, we store your email address to sign you in (via a magic link) and to associate your Pro entitlement. We use Supabase to store this securely and Resend to send sign-in emails.

Payments

Payments are processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your full card details. We store only your plan, status, and the Razorpay identifiers needed to manage your subscription.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and tools get used, so we know what to build next. It runs with ad-personalization turned off and your IP address anonymized.

What it collects: page views, which tool pages you open, tool-usage events (for example, that a merge happened), your approximate region, browser and device type, and referring page. All of it with your IP address anonymized.

What it never collects: the contents of your files, file names, or file metadata. Browser tools process your files on your device, so that data has no path to our analytics in the first place.

Ad personalization and Google Signals are disabled, so this data is not used to build an advertising profile of you. We do not sell your data, ever.

How to opt out: turn on your browser's Do Not Track setting, install Google's official Analytics opt-out add-on, or block googletagmanager.com with your browser or an extension. Any of these stops analytics without affecting the tools.
