Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 30, 2026
This page describes what data LovedPDF collects, what we do with it, and the rights you have. This is a real privacy policy, written in plain English, by the people who built the product.
What we don't collect
- Your files. Every browser-based tool processes your files entirely on your device. The files never leave your browser. We have no copy and no way to make one.
- Personal data without consent. We do not require you to sign up to use any Phase 1 tool. No name, no email, no phone number.
- Tracking pixels. No Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no third-party trackers, no session-replay tools.
- Advertising data. We do not run ads. We do not integrate with ad networks. Ever.
What we do collect
- Privacy-respecting analytics. We use Plausible Analytics (a cookie-free, GDPR-compliant tool) to understand aggregate page views. No personal information is collected.
- Server logs. Standard web server logs (IP address, request URL, user agent) for security and abuse prevention. These are auto-deleted after 14 days.
- Account data (Phase 2 onward). When we add accounts, we will collect your email and any optional profile fields you provide. You can delete your account and all data at any time.
Server-side tools (Phase 3 onward)
Some PDF operations (OCR, format conversion) cannot reasonably run in a browser. For these, we will:
- Encrypt your file in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256).
- Process the file on EU servers we operate.
- Permanently delete the file within 60 minutes of processing.
- Never read the contents, ever — not even by us.
- Never use the file or its contents to train any AI model.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, export, and delete any data we hold about you. Email privacy@lovedpdf.com and we will respond within 30 days as required by GDPR.
Cookies
LovedPDF does not use any tracking cookies. We use one essential cookie to remember your theme preference. That is it.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top and email anyone with an account. The full change history is available on our public GitHub.
