Printing to PDF to flatten a file
Choosing Save as PDF in the printer list, instead of a physical printer, re-saves the document as a fresh PDF. This is a quiet but useful trick. It flattens interactive form fields, annotations, and layers into a plain printed representation, which helps when you want to send a filled form that cannot be edited further, or when a stubborn PDF will not display correctly elsewhere. The output is a new file, and your original is left untouched.
The file never reaches us
Because printing is something your browser and operating system already do, there is no reason to upload the document to a server first, and this tool does not. The PDF is rendered in the page and passed to your print system locally. Payslips, contracts, boarding passes, and medical letters, the documents people most often print, stay on your device the whole time.
